Final Pitch Rules?
SWC Official Registration Link: https://www.startupworldcup.io/newyork-2026
Each team will have 4 minutes for the pitch and 2 minutes for Q&A, for a total of 6 minutes, following the same format as the U.S. Grand Finale.
Who will serve as the judges?
The application review committee will consist of representatives from VCs, incubators, and angel investors.
Is there a pitch deck template available for reference?
Yes — download here!
Will uploading an introduction video increase the chance of being selected?
Uploading a video is optional. The purpose of the video is to help the judges better understand your business model and company.
If your team feels that a few PPT slides are not enough to clearly convey your idea, we recommend submitting a video for additional clarity.
However, it does not necessarily increase the chances of advancing to the finals.
Can the pitch deck background and design follow the team’s own style?
Yes! As long as the required content from the template is included, teams are free to design the deck in their own style.
The only requirement is that the entire pitch deck must be written in English.
If a team has already raised some funding, can they still participate in the competition?
Yes. There are no capital restrictions for this competition, and all high-potential teams are welcome to apply!
How can a startup pitch at the Grand Finale?
Startup World Cup will have 100+ regional events across North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Australia. Each regional winner will compete in Silicon Valley for the final competition in San Francisco on November 4-6, 2026, at the Hilton Union Square, San Francisco. More details can be found on the Grand Finale Page.
What will the regional winning startups receive?
Startup World Cup will provide free event tickets to attend the Networking Party and Grand Finale for the winning startup from each regional event. Flights may be provided by the regional partners or local sponsors in each country, but Startup World Cup does not cover flight tickets to the Grand Finale in Silicon Valley.
What does the world champion get for winning the final competition?
The winner of the Grand Finale will receive a US $1,000,000 prize in investment. It will either be in exchange for a portion of equity related to the most recent round of funding or a convertible note, depending on the size of the company and how much funding they have raised.
They will also receive global exposure through media recognition from all of the journalists covering the event.
